Advent Solemn Vespers (Week 1)
Join us as we enter into the sacred season of Advent in Solemn Vespers, the official Evening Prayer of the Church. Beautiful choral music will be provided by our good friends from Canticum Novum, under the expert direction, as always, of Don Morse. Take some time away from the hustle and bustle of the season to focus on receiving the peace of Christ in your heart.

Advent Solemn Vespers (Week 2)
Join us for the Second Sunday of Advent for a spectacular performance of the first part of Handel’s monumental ‘Messiah’ by Arizona Cantilena Chorale, accompanied by chamber orchestra. The performance will be in the context of a liturgical service with several scripture readings pertaining to the Advent season. As such, it will be free and open to the public. There will be a reception following in the Friars’ Garden. Please plan on joining us for this beautiful performance of one of the season’s most beloved works!

Advent Solemn Vespers (Week 3)
Celebrate the 2019 Yuletide Season by joining the Valley Chamber Chorale conducted by Christopher Samuel for a presentation of “A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols” during St. Mary’s Basilica Solemn Vesper Service. The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols reflects on the story of Christmas through the singing of carols and a short lesson for each carol. Join us for this annual event with the Franciscan Friars followed by a reception. All are welcome! Please invite your family and friends.

Advent Solemn Vespers (Week 4)
Join us for Solemn Vespers (Evening Prayer) on this final Sunday of Advent as we prepare for the great Feast of the Nativity. Beautiful music will be provided by the combined choirs of the Parish Church of St. Mary Magdalene, Gilbert.
